Aristocrat Black Playing Cards
Now back from the early 1980’s is the elegant Aristocrat Playing Cards, introduced in approximately 1915. This Limited Edition Version uses a different shade of black and gold on the backs and the face cards, but still has the classically beautiful scrollwork design of the original. Even the elegant tuck box conveys the regal feeling you’d expect from this name.
This deck traces its history to the American Banknote Company. They only produced playing cards for a short period, but were famous for their superbly intricate scrollwork. ABN sold out to the Russell Card Co. (no relation to the Russell of Russell & Morgan). Production of the ABN cards continued at the Russell Co.’s Milltown, New Jersey plant. Given this rich history, you’ll notice and appreciate the care put into this fine deck of Aristocrat Black Playing Cards.
